About the Role

Sunbeam House Services (SHS) take pride in supporting people with intellectual disabilities and complex needs to have choice and control over their lives. We offer a range of supports tailored to individual needs. We are a rights-based organisation and recognise that every person we support is unique and a valued member of society.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Part-time (100 per month) Care Assistant to join our services in a Residential setting in Bray, County Wicklow.

This role offers the opportunity to support a remarkable lady who lives independently in her own home in Bray. She has a mild intellectual disability and is a highly intelligent, kind, and empathetic person who values meaningful relationships and consistent support. She is very active within her local community and loves being out and about, whether that’s attending activities, socialising, or simply enjoying her independence. Regular staff, clear communication, and reassurance are key to helping her feel secure and supported, allowing her to thrive in her day-to-day life.

As a part of her staff team, you’ll play an important role in promoting her independence while also being there to provide emotional support, encouragement, and understanding. Looking ahead, the role will also involve supporting her with physical health needs as they develop, ensuring she can continue to live safely, confidently, and as independently as possible.

This is a rewarding position for someone who values consistency, connection, and person-centred support, and who wants to make a genuine difference in the life of a thoughtful and engaging individual.
