About the Role

Avista is seeking a Care Assistant for a permanent, part-time position (35 hours per week) at St. Joseph’s Centre – Day Service, Clonsilla, Dublin. The role involves supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred, community-based, socially inclusive manner. The successful candidate will work under the organisation's core values and ethos, promoting active engagement and participation in local communities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 in Healthcare qualification or (higher) equivalent comparable qualification.
  • Full clean manual Irish driving licence. Requirement to drive service vehicles.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation in their local communities.
  • Experience working within the area of intellectual disability.
  • Knowledge of New Directions.
  • Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time (35 hours per week)

Salary: €34,881 - €48,434* (LSI) (subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work)
