About the Role
Avista is seeking a Care Assistant to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in Dublin. The role is based in Dublin Day Services (Dublin 7, 11, & 15) and involves a permanent, part-time contract of 35 hours per week. The salary is €34,881–€48,434 per year, subject to relevant public sector experience and pro-rated for hours of work.
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 in Healthcare qualification or (higher) equivalent comparable qualification.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Experience working within the area of intellectual disability and of working with people who have a diagnosis of Autism and Behaviours of Concern.
Desirable:
- Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation of Service Users in their local communities.
- Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
- Full clean manual/Automatic Irish driving licence.
Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
