About the Role
Cheshire Ireland is seeking a Care Support Worker for their West Cork Community Services in Cork. The role is permanent part-time, with 22 hours per week. The successful candidate will support people with all aspects of their daily lives, fostering independence and promoting their rights and well-being. The role requires availability to work all shifts across a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week roster.
The role is based in Castledonovan and Bandon Services in the West Cork Community Services, Co. Cork.
Requirements
- Full Manual Driving Licence
- A QQI Level 5 Healthcare Major Award or an equivalent care related qualification.
- Experience in supporting people with disabilities.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Good Standard of verbal and written English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Personal integrity and trustworthiness.
- Positive attitude.
- Willingness to embrace change and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Committed to the principles of rights-based, person-centred services.
- Candidates who have experience and no qualifications may be hired if they are willing to undertake and complete QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support within 18 months of the commencement of their role.
