About the Role
CareChoice Swords is currently recruiting for Catering Assistants. We are part of the CareChoice Group which consists of 15 nursing homes.
Main Responsibilities
- Duties include any duties associated with serving meals, cleaning up after meals and maintaining the dining environment at the standard required by CareChoice Parnell.
- Ensure that food is presented in an appealing way.
- Assist in the serving of meals and drinks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs.
- Use all equipment as trained observing all safe practices, so that accidents are avoided
- Maintain the food serving area and dining room in a clean, safe and hygienic condition
- Ensure that all bins are emptied and all waste is discarded in the appropriate bin. (Food, Recycling, General Waste)
- Record keeping – ensure that necessary checks are made and recorded in accordance with our Food Hygiene Policy
- Ensure food hygiene and HACCP standards are adhered to at all times.
- Help to maintain a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors
