About the Role
The National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) provides Complex Specialist Rehabilitation services to patients who, as a result of an accident, illness or Injury, have acquired a physical or cognitive disability and require a specialist programme of rehabilitation. The NRH is a tertiary referral hospital, and the only hospital of its type in the country. The NRH is accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Assist and provide support to all members of the catering department to ensure a professional, efficient, friendly service which operates as cost effectively and efficiently as possible. Ensure that the provision of the highest standard and best practice in food preparation and hygiene always operates in the catering department. To carry out the policies of the hospital. To identify and promote ways of raising the quality of service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
A course in food hygiene and HACCP. Have obtained the London City & Guilds Examination no. 706/1 & no.706/2 /NCCB or such equivalent qualifications as may have been approved by the Minister for health from time to time. Previous experience as a qualified Chef is essential. Fluent English.
