About the Role
The National Orthopaedic Hospital at Cappagh (NOHC) is situated in Finglas, West Dublin. Established in 1908, we are the National Centre of Excellence in Orthopaedic Medicine, with over 600+ highly skilled staff, including 38 Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons. Each year, we treat more than 30,000 adult and paediatric patients expeditiously and efficiently. NOHC is home to: Adult Orthopaedic Services, Cappagh Kids, The Bone Tumour Centre, Centre for Rehabilitation and The National Bone Bank.
We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced nurses for the position of Clinical Facilitator (Clinical Nurse Manager 2) within the Theatre Department.
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and maintain live registration.
- Have a minimum of five years post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting, of which at least two years must be in Theatre Nursing.
- Have a recognised level 8/9 Theatre Qualification.
- Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development relevant to the role.
- Have the ability to facilitate learning, support staff development and promote best practice in perioperative care.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and teaching skills.
- Experience in clinical teaching, competency assessment, staff development, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
Desirable Criteria
- A recognised qualification in Healthcare Management, Leadership or Education.
