About the Role

Sligo University Hospital provides high-quality healthcare to the people of Sligo, Leitrim, South Donegal and West Cavan. SUH provides Acute Inpatient, Outpatient, and Day Services as well as Regional Specialty Services in Ophthalmology and Ear, Nose and Throat Services. SUH has a Medical Academy with NUI Galway which includes clinical rotations/ education for medical students from NUI Galway on Sligo University Hospital Campus.

There is currently one whole-time vacancy available in Acute Medical Assessment unit (AAU) Sligo University Hospital which will be filled on a permanent basis. The successful candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for West and North West Healthcare Group from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

The post of CNM 2 (AAU) has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.

Skills and attributes: Nursing, Acute Assessment. Fluent English.
