About the Role
University Hospital Kerry is seeking applications for a permanent whole-time Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to lead nursing services within the Emergency Department and Acute Floor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to take on a key leadership role within one of the HSE South West’s busiest acute hospitals, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred emergency care.
Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) will provide professional and clinical leadership within the Emergency Department and Acute Floor, ensuring safe, effective and efficient patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing nursing staff, promoting clinical excellence, supporting service improvement initiatives and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality.
Requirements
- Be eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the official HSE Job Specification.
- Demonstrate significant clinical nursing experience with leadership and management capability.
- Possess excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
