About the Role
Avista is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for a permanent, full-time position at St. Vincent’s Centre, Lisnagry, Limerick. The role involves supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families in a person-centred, community-based, socially inclusive manner. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week and manage a team to deliver quality services.
Requirements
Essential:
- NMBI Registration.
- Management Qualification- Possess a Recognised Management Qualification FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent or to be completed within three months.
- At least 5 years of post-registration nursing experience, with 3 years within disability services.
- Previous experience at CNM1 level within the area of Intellectual Disability.
- Completed mandatory training.
- Proven managerial, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Detailed knowledge of the HIQA standards / regulations and Health Act 2007 and the ability to maintain compliance with HIQA.
- Detailed knowledge of rostering and managing the rostering arrangements and leave planning for staff.
- Detailed knowledge of the role of the Person in Charge and the ability to complete same.
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and the capacity to manage change.
- Full Clean Irish Driving License for Manual Vehicles and access to own car.
- Proficiency in the English language.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in relation to autism and mental health.
- Ability to work effectively with families and the wider MDT.
- Possess Level 2 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
