About the Role
Avista is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2/Social Care Leader for their Community Residential Service in Limerick. This role is full-time and permanent, with a 37.5-hour week for CNM2 and a 39-hour week for SCL.
Avista is a person-centred, rights-based organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. They provide a range of services including Day, Residential, and Respite supports across Dublin, Limerick, and North Tipperary.
Requirements
Essential:
- NMBI Registration or QQI Level 8 (Level 7 with relevant experience and eligible for CORU registration will be considered)
- CORU recognised Social Care Qualification
- Recognised Management Qualification FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent
- At least 5 years post-registration experience in Nursing or Social Care, with 3 years in Intellectual Disability services
- Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities, complex health needs, autism, and behaviours of concern
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to work independently
- Proven managerial, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with families and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT)
- Detailed knowledge of HIQA standards/regulations and Health Act 2007
- Full clean manual Irish driving licence
- Proficiency in the English language
Desirable:
- RNID division experience
- Knowledge of person-centred planning and New Directions Standards
- Previous experience at CNM1 level/equivalent within Intellectual Disability
