Enable Ireland provides services to over 13,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families from 43 locations in 14 counties. Covering childhood to adulthood, our expert teams work with the individual and their family on a plan for each life stage. Our services for children and their families cover all aspects of a child's physical, educational, and social development from early infancy through adolescence. For adults, we offer a range of services covering personal development, independent living, supported employment, social and leisure activities. We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Clinical Nurse Manager II to join our team in Dublin South East (CHO6). We have full-time opportunities within our teams in Sandymount and Leopardstown.

Contract Type: Permanent Post

Contract Hours: Full Time Post, 35 hours per week

Indicative salary: €60,916–€79,189 per year (HSE Manager national pay scale, effective Jun 2026).

To work as a Clinical Nurse Manager II as a member of the Dublin Children’s Services, providing a quality, evidence-based service to children and young people 0 – 18 years within an interdisciplinary framework and family-centered practice and to support other staff and students as assigned. The aim of this programme is to provide a unified national approach to delivering disability health services so that each child has a clear pathway to the services they need, regardless of where they live, what school they attend or the nature of their disability or delay.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in Intellectual Disability/ General or Children’s Nursing.
  • Registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann) or entitled to be so registered.
  • At least 5 years post-registration experience (or an aggregate of 5 years full-time post-registration experience) of which 2 years must be in the area of children’s disability.
  • Clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
  • Demonstrated evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Eligible to work in the State.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
  • Good knowledge of child protection and child development.
  • Experience of working in a community-based setting.
