We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Clinical Nurse Manager II to join our team in Dublin South East (CHO6). We have full-time opportunities within our teams in Sandymount and Leopardstown.
Contract Type: Permanent Post
Contract Hours: Full Time Post, 35 hours per week
Indicative salary: €60,916–€79,189 per year (HSE Manager national pay scale, effective Jun 2026).
To work as a Clinical Nurse Manager II as a member of the Dublin Children’s Services, providing a quality, evidence-based service to children and young people 0 – 18 years within an interdisciplinary framework and family-centered practice and to support other staff and students as assigned. The aim of this programme is to provide a unified national approach to delivering disability health services so that each child has a clear pathway to the services they need, regardless of where they live, what school they attend or the nature of their disability or delay.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in Intellectual Disability/ General or Children’s Nursing.
- Registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann) or entitled to be so registered.
- At least 5 years post-registration experience (or an aggregate of 5 years full-time post-registration experience) of which 2 years must be in the area of children’s disability.
- Clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous professional development.
- Eligible to work in the State.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
- Good knowledge of child protection and child development.
- Experience of working in a community-based setting.
