About the Role

Community Clinical Partner (CNM1) Eastern Community Dublin. Specified Purpose Contract. We are currently recruiting a Community Clinical Partner to provide clinical and professional leadership to frontline care support teams working across the Eastern Regional Cheshire Ireland Community Services. This is an ideal opportunity for the right candidate to work as part of a team that plays an integral role in the continuous improvement of service quality, systems and processes at both service and organisational level.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• The Community Clinical Partner, reporting to the Regional Head of Clinical Support Services, will provide support and clinical oversight in each assigned service in the standardised implementation of organisational clinical policy and procedures, ensuring full compliance with policy, statutory and legislative requirements and standards.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting consistent service provision through the implementation of evidence-based decision making and learning.
• Operating out of a social model of disability, you will have responsibility to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of individuals with physical and neurological disabilities receiving Cheshire Ireland services.
• Working as part of the Eastern Community Team you will be providing support with clinical assessments and promoting a culture of professional development for all staff in the region.
• You will be committed to the provision of quality person-centred services and to the concept of working in partnership with clients who live in their own homes.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a relevant nursing qualification, and a minimum of 1 years’ experience operating at CNM 1 level within the disability or healthcare sector. The candidate will also be committed to the principles of rights-based person-centred services, have experience in the delivery of staff training and in the development and implementation of policy and procedures. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in an environment focussed on physical and neurological conditions in a management capacity, be able to engage with all stakeholders and have evidence of personal and professional development. Ideally, you should have experience of conducting audits, evaluations, incident reviews and/or investigations and you will have strong analytical and report writing skills, good communication skills and the ability to identify and assess issues and propose solutions. The role will involve travel and as such the candidate will need to have a current driver’s licence, their own vehicle and be willing to travel for work.

In 1961 Leonard Cheshire set up Ireland’s first Cheshire service in Shillelagh, Co. Wicklow, supported by volunteers, and since then further services have developed around the country. Initially, these services were supported by local voluntary management committees who oversaw the running of the services and who fundraised locally. Over time, the Health and Social Care environment in Ireland changed with an increased requirement for governance and oversight. To reflect this Cheshire Ireland developed a consistent approach to the work of the organisation, while ensuring the ethos of Leonard Cheshire’s approach remains relevant.
