About the Role
South East Palliative Care Centre in Waterford is recruiting a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist for a permanent whole-time position. This senior clinical opportunity is suited to an experienced occupational therapist with significant expertise in palliative care services, clinical excellence and service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist occupational therapy expertise within palliative care services.
- Support and promote clinical excellence in specialist palliative care practice.
- Contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support practice development across relevant occupational therapy and multidisciplinary services.
- Contribute to teaching, education and professional development activities.
- Participate in and support research relevant to clinical practice and service improvement.
Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate the following experience and professional capability:
- Depth and breadth of experience in palliative care services.
- A proven record of clinical excellence in specialist palliative care, demonstrated through postgraduate qualifications or relevant courses.
- Depth and breadth of experience in clinical audit.
- Experience contributing to quality improvement initiatives and practice development.
- Experience in teaching and education.
- Relevant experience or involvement in research.
