About the Role
The Rehab Group is recruiting a Community Support Worker (Disability) for a permanent whole-time position in Waterford. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated professional to support people with disabilities in achieving greater independence, inclusion, and quality of life within their local communities.
Role Overview
As a Community Support Worker, you will work directly with individuals with disabilities, providing person-centred support that promotes independence, community participation, and personal development. You will collaborate with service users, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality supports tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities.
- Assist service users in achieving personal goals and maximising independence.
- Support participation in community, social, educational, and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care and support planning.
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, equality, and best practice at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to person-centred practice and community inclusion.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience supporting people with disabilities is desirable.
Salary & Benefits
