About the Role

Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght as well as an Urgent Care Centre at Connolly hospital in Blanchardstown.

The purpose of this post is to be responsible for the management of Claims, Coroner’s Cases, insurance and legal advice on behalf of CHI as well as support the wider team in managing requests for information. The role will ensure the timely notification and management of current, new and potential claims, Coroner’s Inquests and legal queries across CHI. The Corporate Liaison Support Officer will work collaboratively with the Corporate Liaison and wider Corporate Affairs Team providing support as required particularly in relation to request for information.

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience at Grade IV level or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills to ensure timely engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Good ICT knowledge and skills
  • Experience engaging and working with external stakeholders at all levels across the organisation so as to be able to discharge and deliver on the functions of the office
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively in order to meet compliance deadlines
  • Be flexible and adaptable to assist with other functions within the Corporate Affairs portfolio
