About the Role

Corlann, formerly known as Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, is seeking a Day Activity Facilitator in Limerick. The role is available as a permanent, full-time position, as well as a fixed-term, full-time contract. Positions are available in autism-specific units as well as general ID services. The salary for this role is €36,291–€52,406 per year, on the Basic Instructor 13-point scale (pro-rata).

As a Day Activity Facilitator, you will work as part of a team to develop and implement appropriate programs tailored to the individual needs and abilities of people supported by the services. The primary focus is on the welfare and well-being of the service users. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, the ability to work with people who have a learning disability, and a commitment to empowering individuals to live and participate in the community equally with others. Competence in conflict resolution and understanding diverse viewpoints is essential.

Requirements

Essential qualifications and skills include:

  • A third-level qualification relevant to the provision of services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, or at a minimum, a QQI Level 5 Major Award (Full 8 modules) in community development, health, or education.
  • A full manual driving license that qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads.
  • A working knowledge of HSE’s New Directions Standards for Day Services and the Person-Centred planning process.
