We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Dietician to join our team in CHO 8 Meath CDNT 5 (Navan / Slane).

Contract Type: Permanent Part-time. Contract Hours: 14 hours per week / 0.40. Salary Scale: The current salary scale for this post is €62,072 to €73,477 pro rata per annum. This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations. Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum.

The post holder will provide clinical nutrition services to Service Users referred by the Children’s services teams. This involves the provision of nutritional counselling and nutritional support to Service Users and their families, and includes the initial consultation as well as ongoing review.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Dietician by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
  • Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification dietetic experience.
  • Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
  • On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Dieticians Register maintained by the Dieticians Registration Board at CORU.
  • Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area.
