About the Role
St. Michael's House (SMH) is seeking a Director of Finance to lead and manage the finance functions of the organisation. The role involves producing the annual finance budget, managing cash flow, and providing management information to the CEO, Executive Management Team (EMT), Audit and Finance Committee, Board, and the HSE. The Director of Finance will work closely with the Chief Executive to develop the organisation’s strategy and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Eligible to work in Ireland with full-time authorisation
- Relevant Third Level Qualification – Qualified Accountant
- High degree of analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills in financial and business management
- Substantial experience managing a service organisation within the health or social care fields
- Experience managing staff and other resources
- Excellent process management and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines with attention to detail
- Project Management skills
- Strong communication skills including influencing, persuading and problem solving
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent knowledge of Public Sector accounting and financial management systems
Desirable Requirements:
- Post graduate management or business qualification
- Experience using a SAP enabled accounting system
