About the Role
The Staff Nurse (Mental Health) will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the relevant care setting. The staff nurse will provide holistic, person centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for service users.
Requirements
- Be registered in the Psychiatric Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland (Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered.
- Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
- Maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Psychiatric Nurses Division maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
- Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
- Be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
- Be of good character.
