About the Role

The Social Care Manager 3 will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and management of service activity and resources within the Disability Team. The post holder will provide leadership and support in the effective delivery of services, with a particular focus on assisting with complex cases, providing guidance to Case Managers, and supporting the management and resolution of complex service needs. The role will contribute to ensuring high-quality, person-centred supports through effective oversight, collaboration, and service development.

Requirements

Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

• Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
• Have a schedule 3 qualification.
• Have a comparable qualification recognised by Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
• Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005, must submit proof of application for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
• Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

AND

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as relevant to the role.
• Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.

Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
