About the Role
The Coombe Hospital is one of the largest providers of women and newborn health care in the Republic of Ireland. We care for up to 10,000 pregnant women every year. In addition, over 1,000 newborns are admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Centre and over 8,000 adult surgical operations are performed. The hospital provides comprehensive care for women and newborns at local, regional and national levels.
The hospital promotes and supports normality in pregnancy and child birth; the hospital also provides a comprehensive range of highly specialised care in high risk maternal and fetal medicine, newborn medicine, anaesthesia and gynaecology.
Applications are invited for the role as Fellow in Benign Gynaecology at The Coombe Hospital, Dublin (TCH). This fellowship will allow the successful candidate to develop significant skills in both open and laparoscopic benign gynaecology surgery. The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil the criteria for this Fellowship as per the RCPI special interest in benign gynaecology module curriculum and logbook. The post is open to senior trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology who possess the MRCPI and/or MRCOG or equivalent. The post is for one year. The proposed start date is July 2027.
