About the Role
GUH play a leadership role in acute service delivery providing regional services for a wide range of specialities and is also a designated supra regional centre for cancer and cardiac services serving a catchment area in the region of one million people along the West from Donegal to Tipperary North.
UHG is a Model 4 hospital providing 24/7 acute surgery, acute medicine, and critical care.
There is currently 3 permanent whole-time vacancies available in the following areas:
- St Gerards Ward, GUH - GI Surgery / Bariatric Surgery (WTE 1) (G12539)
- St Nicholas Ward, GUH – Vascular Surgery / Plastic Surgery (WTE 1) (G12540)
- St Pius Ward, GUH – Urology Surgery / Maxillofacial Surgery (WTE 1) (G12655)
Initial assignment will be to Galway University Hospital. The successful candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises. A panel may be formed for Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Surgical for Galway University Hospital from which current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part time duration may be filled.
