The West and North West region provides acute and specialist hospital and community services to the West and North West of Ireland – counties Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and adjoining counties.

The region comprises of 7 hospitals across 8 sites:

  • Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH)
  • Mayo University Hospital (MUH)
  • Portiuncula University Hospital (PUH)
  • Roscommon University Hospital (RUH)
  • Sligo University Hospital (SUH) incorporating Our Lady’s Hospital Manorhamilton (OLHM)
  • Galway University Hospitals (GUH) incorporating University Hospital Galway (UHG) and Merlin Park University Hospital

Access to the Enhanced Nurse/Senior Enhanced Nurse role is available through this campaign (pending eligibility).

Location of Posts: Galway University Hospitals (which comprises of University Hospital, Galway and Merlin Park University Hospital).

Exciting staff nursing opportunities are available across many departments in these hospitals including Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Coronary Care, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gastro-Intestinal, Plastics, Ophthalmic, ENT, Vascular, Endo-Vascular, Maxillo-Facial, Nephrology, Respiratory, Cancer Services which includes Haematology Oncology Day and Emergency Medicine.
