About the Role

As a valued member of our care team, you will support clients to live independently and safely in their own homes while maintaining their dignity and wellbeing. Key responsibilities include providing personal care, companionship, and emotional support, assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, mobility, light housekeeping, basic health checks, medication management, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication with families and healthcare teams.

Requirements

Essential requirements include QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent (or working towards), minimum Care Skills and Care of the Elderly modules completed, full driver’s licence (preferred) and access to transport, good level of English (spoken and written), eligibility to work in Ireland, and appropriate documentation (visas, work permits). Compliance and training requirements include submitting a Garda Vetting, providing a medical certificate (Fit to Work), completion of required HSELand certifications, and Manual Handling & Induction training (provided by Komfort Kare). Key skills and attributes include a person-centred approach to care, compassion, patience, empathy, good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, flexibility, reliability, and organisation.
