About the Role

The National Orthopaedic Hospital at Cappagh (NOHC) is situated in Finglas, West Dublin. Established in 1908, we are the National Centre of Excellence in Orthopaedic Medicine, with over 600+ highly skilled staff, including 38 Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons. Each year, we treat more than 30,000 adult and paediatric patients expeditiously and efficiently. NOHC is home to:

  • Adult Orthopaedic Services: providing same-day surgery and discharge for conditions including Total Hip and Knee Replacements.
  • Cappagh Kids: Limb Reconstruction, Hip Conditions, Scoliosis, Neuro Disability
  • The Bone Tumour Centre (The Primary Referral Centre for Bone and Soft Tissue Tumours, Surgical Oncology Centre for the National Sarcoma Service)
  • Centre for Rehabilitation (rehabilitation over 65s post-acute trauma)
  • The National Bone Bank (harvests femoral heads for use in reconstruction surgery)

Applications are invited from hardworking, flexible, team players for the position of Healthcare Assistant for the Inpatient Care Areas - Part Time vacancy 0.5 WTE (19.5 hours per week).

Requirements

Candidates must, on or before the closing date for receipt of applications, possess:

  • A relevant healthcare qualification at QQI Level 5 or higher;
  • Demonstrate the personal competence, capability, and capacity required to effectively perform the duties of the role.
  • Be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.
