About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide direct personal care and support to residents and service users, helping them to achieve their individual goals and maintain their quality of life. Working as part of a committed multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care within a residential and community setting.
Requirements
- FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or a related discipline, or a commitment to achieving same.
- Genuine commitment to person-centred care and the rights of people with disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work across a roster including days, evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.
Details
The Cheshire Foundation in Ireland is a Section 39 organisation and is not bound by HSE consolidated pay scales. However, as this post is advertised at Healthcare Assistant grade (HSE grade code 6075), the equivalent HSE scale for reference is €36,651 – €45,939 per annum (9-point scale, based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026). Candidates are advised to confirm the actual salary applicable to this post directly with the recruiter prior to application. As this is a 22-hour per week part-time post, salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
