About the Role

HR Officer

Dublin, Ireland

Permanent, Hybrid

€36,166 - 51,290

Closing date: October 25, 2026 5:00 PM

We are Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health. Formerly known as Headstrong, we were established in 2006 and to this day, we remain committed to leading a nationwide transformation in the area of youth mental health. By joining the Jigsaw Team, you will help us to create an Ireland where every young person’s mental health is valued and supported.

In Jigsaw we believe in intervening early with mental health difficulties, offering a therapeutic service to young people at primary care level. Our network of Jigsaw services provide young people aged 12-25 with a place, or a digital space, they can visit for free and receive confidential support from mental health professionals. In addition to the provision of a brief therapeutic service, we also advocate for a holistic and integrated view of the individual person which is inextricable from the contexts of their lives. To that end we aim to better inform, support, educate and empower communities, enabling a better understanding of our collective responsibility in supporting young people’s mental health. Our youth mental health promotion work seeks to enhance community engagement and increase knowledge and understanding in relation to youth mental health.

Youth voice is also central to our work in Jigsaw. We believe that service user engagement and wider youth participation is about involving young people, listening to them and giving them a voice in how our services and supports are planned, designed, implemented and evaluated.

Responsible to the HR Manager & Director of People and Culture, the HR Officer provides accurate, responsive and confidential HR support across the full employee lifecycle in Jigsaw. This includes recruitment and selection, onboarding and induction, probation, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement and retention, payroll and benefits administration, leave management, contractual changes, and offboarding and exit interviews.

Working closely with employees, managers and the wider HR team, the HR Officer supports the consistent application of HR policies and best practice, maintains accurate employee records and HR systems, and contributes to continuous improvement in HR processes. The role helps deliver a positive employee experience and supports fair, effective and consistent people management across the organisation.

The post holder will be reliable, highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible in their approach to the work and be open and willing to contributing to the wider objectives of the organisation.
