About the Role

The National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) is seeking an ICT Database Administrator – Assistant Technical Services Officer Grade (ATSO) to join their team in Dublin. The role is permanent, full-time, and the salary is €48,251–€74,805 per year. The closing date for applications is 14 September 2026 at 4:00 PM.

The ICT Database Administrator will be responsible for installing and maintaining the performance of database infrastructure both on-prem and in Azure, developing processes for optimizing database security, setting and maintaining database standards, managing database access, performance tuning of database systems, installing, upgrading, and managing database applications, diagnosing and troubleshooting database errors, recommending and implementing emerging database technologies, creating and managing database reports, visualizations, and dashboards, creating automation for repeating database tasks, being available for on-call support as needed, and supporting the ICT Support team in standard IT Support tasks.

Details

The NTPF is based at Ashford House, Tara Street, Dublin 2. The working arrangement is blended (hybrid) in line with the Civil Service Framework, with 35 hours of work per week. The role reports to the ICT Operations, Infrastructure and Security Lead and includes a 12-month probationary period.
