About the Role
Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Local Service Manager to join their team in Galway. The role involves leading a dedicated team of Team Leaders and Rehabilitation Assistants, fostering a collaborative and person-centred approach to daily support for individuals with acquired brain injury. The Local Service Manager will also be a key member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with specialists to deliver coordinated, person-centred rehabilitation. The contract is a Specific Purpose, Part-Time position for 19.5 hours per week, with a salary range of €57,856–€75,210, pro-rated based on hours worked.
Requirements
Must Haves:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Health or Social Care
- At least 4-years post-graduate experience in a health or social care setting, including residential or community rehabilitation
- Minimum 3-years’ experience leading and managing staff teams, with a focus on performance management and development
- Strong communication skills – verbal, written, report writing, and presentation – with fluency in English
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet service goals
- Confident decision-maker with sound judgement, attention to details, and a hands-on approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with solid IT and budgeting skills
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to undertake management/leadership training if not already completed
Great to Have:
- Previous experience working with individuals affected by Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Background in delivering person-centred neuro-rehabilitation services across interdisciplinary teams
- Experience managing a 24/7 residential or community-based care service
- Familiarity with Ireland’s disability care systems and available support services
