About the Role
St. Michael’s House is recruiting for the position of Maintenance Groundsman as part of the Maintenance Team in the Technical Services Department (Estates Directorate). The role is based in Dublin and involves supporting the Grounds Foreman in completing assigned grounds/gardening work tasks throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will ensure works are completed and closed out appropriately and may be required to undertake additional duties as requested by line management (Estates Project Managers).

The role is a full-time, specific purpose contract for 12 months. The salary scale is €35,433–€41,696 per year, based on a 39-hour work week. The closing date for applications is 22 September 2026 at 5 pm. Interviews are scheduled to take place in late September 2026 or early October 2026.
Requirements
Key requirements include:
- 3 years working in a similar grounds maintenance role
- Relevant health and safety training appropriate for the completion and management of grounds maintenance works
- Hold a valid “Safe Pass” card
- A clean driving licence and own vehicle for use in carrying out the role
- Fluent English
