Roscommon University Hospital is a Model 2 Hospital and is part of the HSE West and North West health region. The hospital has a walk-in Injury Unit (GP or self-referral), which is open from 8 am until 8 pm, seven days per week, and treats minor injuries for adults and children over the age of 5. The hospital also has a Medical Assessment Unit which is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Attendance at the Medical Assessment Unit is by GP referral only. An eight-bed inpatient Palliative Care Support Unit was opened in February 2023.
The HSE West and North West health region will manage and deliver all public health and social care services in:

- Mayo
- Galway
- Roscommon
Assignment will be to the medical teams at Roscommon University Hospital.
We are currently recruiting for Medical Registrar - temporary wholetime posts for the January 2027 NCHD Rotation.
12 months Contract from 11th January 2027.
