NSS202663 - Grade VI Executive Officer, Quality, Safety and Risk in Dublin

About the Role

The Grade VI Executive Officer, Quality, Safety and Risk plays a key operational and administrative role in supporting the National Screening Service (NSS) Quality, Safety and Risk function. The post holder will contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of quality, patient safety, risk management, audit and compliance processes across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Quality, Safety and Risk, the post holder will support the administration and ongoing development of the NSS Quality Management Information System (QMIS), coordinate internal audit and compliance activities, assist in the management and reporting of incidents and risks, and provide analytical, operational and project support to quality improvement initiatives. The role will also support the collection, analysis and reporting of quality, safety and risk data to inform organisational learning, governance and decision-making.

Requirements

Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

• Have satisfactory experience as a clerical officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004
• Or
• Have obtained a pass (Grade D) in at least five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination, including Mathematics and English or Irish. Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects in that examination.
• Or
• Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard in any equivalent examination in another jurisdiction.
• Or
• Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland, (QQI).

Post Specific Criteria:

• Experience supporting the administration and maintenance of a Quality Management Information System (QMIS) or similar quality, risk, or information management system.
• Experience in data management, including data input, document control, audit tracking, incident management records, training records, and associated reporting functions.
• Knowledge of quality, patient safety, incident and risk management, governance, and compliance principles within HSE, healthcare or regulated environment.
• Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including software vendors and service providers, to support system management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
