What are the main responsibilities of the Podiatrist Manager?
The Podiatrist Manager will provide clinical and professional leadership in the delivery of a high-quality podiatry service, maintain comprehensive and accurate patient and activity records, build and maintain effective working relationships with relevant medical, health & social care and nursing personnel, work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, ensure competence in all specialities across podiatry service areas, ensure best practice podiatry needs assessments and appropriate range of service user interventions, ensure professional standards are maintained, ensure quality of staff provision through clinical audit, supervision and training, be responsible for the delivery of the podiatry service within the budget allocation, develop and promote integrated models of service delivery between relevant stakeholders, ensure the provision of professional and clinical supervision to Podiatrists, collaborate with colleges in ensuring safe and effective clinical placements for podiatry students, supplement the podiatry team resources provided to an identified clinical area, compile reports of a legal nature where necessary based on the documented care of the patient, and undertake other responsibilities consistent with the nature of the post including programmes of research and development and project work.
