We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Professionally Qualified Social Worker to join our teams across Co. Wicklow.

Contract Type: Permanent posts. Contract Hours: Full and part time hours. Salary Scale: €48,360 to €70,563 pro rata per annum. This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations. Salary Scale: indicative HSE pay scale for this grade, €51,127–€73,811 per year.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days per annum.

Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Social Work services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.

Essential Criteria:

  • Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
  • Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
  • Be eligible to work in the State.

Annual Registration

  • On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
  • Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in the disability sector.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
