About the Role

Dawn Distribution is currently seeking a Reach Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, based in our Naas HQ location. As a Reach Truck Driver you will be reporting into the Team Leader and/or Manager, this role requires this person to effectively and efficiently perform their daily work tasks to the highest level of hygiene, food safety and health and safety standards, meeting all targets and reporting all issues. The role involves the employee being an integral part of the team, working together and meeting daily plans.

Working Hours: Mon. to Thur. 9:30am - 6pm, Friday hours based on shift rotations due to transport schedules.

Requirements

  • Valid Reach Truck Licence.
  • 2 years experience driving a reach truck in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience working within racking systems up to 10 mtrs high.
  • A Team Player.
  • People management.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Level headed & a logical thinker.
  • Willing to learn the information that is involved in the job.
  • Ability to take instruction but also ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills with team and team leader.
  • A ‘can do’ ‘will do’ attitude.
  • Attentive to detail in relation to quality and output.

What are the key responsibilities of a Reach Truck Driver at Dawn Farms?
Carry out daily inspection of reach truck and report faults. Orders are assembled as per customer request and any issues highlighted to team lead/supervisor for resolution. Ensure downtime is minimized. All records and checks sheets to be completed accurately and filled in so all the information is legible. All stock to be managed efficiently and put in correct locations for collection or storage. All issues need to be reported as soon as they occur so the issue can be managed and also to prevent reoccurrence and trouble shoot for the future. Ensure clear communication and full details are given. Employees need to recycle at all times allocating recyclable materials to the correct locations. Ensure packaging is to customer spec and orders are in suitable condition for shipping. Communicate openly with full details daily to your team, and your team leader and manager ensuring you are responsible for your work and your work area and product at all times. Maintain good housekeeping practices at all times. Follow and adhere to all food safety policies, SOP’s and GMP’s to control and produce an excellent product. Adhere to all Health & safety policies and procedures and report any concerns or issues to their manager or H&S Manager.
