About the Role
Registrar in General Medicine in Bantry, County Cork, Ireland. Full-time, temporary position. Successful candidates will be required to commence on Monday 11th January 2027 in Bantry General Hospital, Cork.
Bantry General Hospital (BGH) provides acute general services to the population of a unique, rural, very large geographical area encompassing West Cork, South Kerry and many inhabited islands. BGH is part of the Cork University Hospital Group (CUHG).
The catchment area is geographically the largest in Ireland with a population of at least 60,000 which is conservatively estimated to double to 120,000 during the six summer months as a result of tourism and summer migration. BGH has been designated a Model 2R hospital, the only model of this kind at both regional and national level at this time. The Hospital’s Academic Partner is University College Cork (UCC).
