Requirements
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Compliance with ‘HACCP’ guidelines
- Serving food to residents and clearing away after service
- Maintaining cleanliness of food service areas, kitchenettes, and dining rooms
- Recording temperatures in food service areas
- Checking and recording incoming goods
- Catering for food and beverage needs
- Ensuring equipment is cleaned to a high standard
- Minimizing waste
- Rotating tasks to meet catering demands
- Daily laundering and ironing of clothing
- Sorting and labelling of residents' clothing
- Ensuring linen availability for all departments
- Maintaining cleanliness of the Laundry Room
- Collecting and disposing of domestic and clinical waste
- Receiving and storing stock safely
- Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations
- Covering housekeeping tasks when required
- Performing other tasks as directed by management
- Daily cleaning of general areas and residents' rooms
- Proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and solutions
- Collecting and disposing of domestic waste
- Cleaning spillages and using wet signs properly
- Collecting trays, using the dishwasher, and maintaining a clean kitchen
- Washing crockery and cutlery
- Setting up trays for meals
- Ensuring safe work practices and a safe environment
- Rotational and flexible post according to nursing home needs
