About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Muiríosa Foundation for a Residential Leader (Social Care Manager 1/CNM1) to join our individualised services in PCW Meath / PCW Westmeath to work as part of a larger management team. This post will enable the successful candidate to make a lasting impression on people’s lives while enhancing their own managerial skills. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- The ability to lead teams in driving forward the ethos of Muiríosa Foundation – keeping people we support at the centre of service provision at all times by promoting self-determination and self-direction.
- Have a robust knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and statutory requirements and their responsibilities as a Person In Charge.
- Be flexible and capable of managing competing priorities within their workload.
- Be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate with individuals, their families, other professionals and people important in the individuals’ life.
- Be able to demonstrate an ability to adapt their interpersonal skills within the context of the situation.
- Be expected to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player supporting their colleagues.
- Support, supervise and motivate the staff teams reporting to them.
- Have a key focus in supporting the individuals be active citizens within their local community.
- Expected to maintain up to date and accurate records to ensure a high standard of care and support is provided to each individual at all times.
- Have excellent interpersonal, planning, data management, IT and organizational skills with the ability to work on own initiative.
Requirements
- Qualification appropriate to the role e.g. Nursing, Social Care, other relevant qualification.
- 3 years’ supervisory/managerial experience.
- Completed a Management Course.
- Participation in the regional On-call roster.
- Full current manual driving license & own transport.
- Suitability as outlined above.
