About the Role

Corlann, formerly Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, seeks a Senior Instructor/Supervisor for Orchard Adult Services in Gort, Co. Galway. The role involves supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing a safe and secure environment, and facilitating community and leisure activities. The successful candidate will report to the Team Leader and may need to stand in for them in their absence. The role is permanent, part-time, with 70 hours worked every fortnight, Monday to Friday, with hours liable to change from 8am to 8pm. The post is pensionable and includes a probationary period of nine months. The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous public sector service.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least a QQI Level 7 qualification relevant to the Social Care sector or equivalent, with at least 2-3 years of experience in designing and implementing programmes. A full clean manual driving licence and proficiency in IT skills are essential. Fluency in verbal and written English is required. Key skills include leadership, organizational and planning abilities, effective communication, creativity, and a commitment to best practices. The role requires a commitment to a person-centred philosophy and the ability to network with local community groups.
