About the Role

HSE Dublin and North East is recruiting a Senior Psychologist for permanent whole-time positions across the Integrated Health Areas of Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West. This opportunity is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers experienced psychologists the chance to contribute to high-quality psychological services across primary care, child and adolescent mental health, adult mental health, intellectual disability and rehabilitation services.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will provide senior-level psychological assessment, intervention and consultation while working as part of multidisciplinary teams delivering evidence-based care. The role includes clinical leadership, service development, supervision of junior staff where appropriate, and supporting high-quality patient outcomes across a range of community and specialist services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic services to service users.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide professional guidance, consultation and clinical leadership.
  • Support service improvement initiatives and quality assurance.
  • Maintain professional standards in line with HSE policies and CORU requirements.
  • Participate in supervision, training and continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • Meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the HSE Job Specification.
  • Hold the qualifications and professional registration required for Senior Psychologist posts.
  • Demonstrate relevant postgraduate clinical experience.

Salary & Benefits

€100,483 – €110,963 per annum (HSE Psychologist – Senior Counselling Grade 3692 scale, 8-point scale, plus Long Service Increments where applicable at €114,536 and €118,111), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.
