About the Role
The Senior Psychologist will support the development and delivery of psychological services for individuals presenting with behaviours of concern, mental health needs, resilience development requirements, and dementia. The post-holder will also play a key role in providing staff training and professional support, contributing to a skilled, confident, and compassionate multidisciplinary workforce.
Requirements
- A recognised psychology qualification meeting the requirements for the Senior Clinical Psychologist grade (HSE grade 367Y)
- Eligibility for registration (or current registration) with CORU as a Psychologist
- A minimum of three years’ post-qualification clinical experience, with demonstrable experience in intellectual disability or a closely related field
- Proven experience in psychological assessment and intervention with individuals presenting with behaviours of concern and/or mental health needs
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support frameworks and current evidence-based psychological models
- Experience of clinical supervision and/or staff training delivery is desirable
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Full clean driving licence desirable
