About the Role
Avista is a person-centred, rights-based organisation that is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities. We provide a wide range of services including Day, Residential and Respite supports to both children and adults in various locations across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary.
The Children and Young People’s Service within Avista provide interdisciplinary team supports, residential, family support and education services to 0-18 year old Children and Young People with complex needs and their families. This post is being recruited for the Children’s Disability Network Team: Blakestown. The successful candidate is required to work as part of an Interdisciplinary Team that provide services to 0-18 year old children and young persons with complex needs. The candidates are also required to work in partnership with families within a family centred model.
Avista has 3 Children and Young People Disability Network Teams and the candidate may be required to work across any these 3 teams if and when the need arises.
Requirements
- A degree in clinical speech and language therapy.
- 3 years post qualification experience.
- Up to date CORU registration.
- Have Dysphagia training.
- Full clean Irish Driving licence and use a car.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Applicants must possess Level 2 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
