About the Role

St. John of God Community Services is seeking an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join its multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in Tallaght, Co. Dublin. This permanent part-time opportunity offers the chance to work within a supportive, collaborative environment while making a meaningful difference to the lives of children, adolescents and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention for children and adolescents.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and professional records.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, service development initiatives and quality improvement activities.
  • Contribute to family-centred care through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage in continuing professional development, supervision and research opportunities.

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current CORU registration.
  • Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Disorders.
  • A demonstrated interest in developing a career within mental health services.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility, commitment, innovation, enthusiasm and resourcefulness.
