About the Role
Provide a specialist nutrition and dietetic service for children and young people (0 to 18 years) and their families who are attending the primary care service, supporting complex clinical conditions, feeding issues and growth concerns.
Contribute to reducing the dietetic service waitlist through proactive patient triage, timely assessment, and effective follow‑up interventions.
Act as a resource and provide expert opinion, advice and guidance to dietetic colleagues and other healthcare professionals in area of paediatric dietetics.
In conjunction with the Dietitian manager/ CHN Manager, develop local policies and care pathways within paediatrics.
Participate in the development of the strategic direction of the Nutrition & Dietetic service across the whole community paediatric service at an IHA level, in conjunction with relevant agencies and stakeholders.
Support and supervise students and staff as designated and promote continuing professional development.
