About the Role
Corlann is the new name for Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. Corlann provides services to more than 6,000 people each year who have an intellectual disability, including those who also have autism. Funded under Section 38 of the Health Act, we remain deeply committed to a person-centred approach—one that honours each individual’s strengths, aspirations, and rights. Our aim is always to provide, as far as possible, personalised supports that empower people to identify and achieve their own life goals, and to live as valued, equal, and active citizens in their communities.
Corlann are looking for bright, ambitious individuals who have a positive attitude towards working with people with an intellectual disability and who are committed to ensuring that our persons supported lead as fulfilling and enjoyable a life as possible. The role of a Social Care Worker is to support the person in all aspects of their life focusing on the individual's ability and promoting independence and development of skills. They assist in all aspects of the practical tasks associated with the daily life of the person supported either in their home or within a day service setting. The Social Care Worker will assist and support people who use the service with the development of their individual person centred plan and the achievement of associated outcomes, and critically, will support people who use the service to make informed choices and fulfil their potential.
