About the Role

Corlann is the new name for Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. Corlann provides services to more than 6,000 people each year who have an intellectual disability, including those who also have autism. Funded under Section 38 of the Health Act, we remain deeply committed to a person-centred approach—one that honours each individual’s strengths, aspirations, and rights.

There is currently one permanent part-time vacancy (70 hours per fortnight). A panel may be established as a result of this recruitment campaign for Parkside Services. The panel will be used to fill current and future vacancies that may arise within the service during the lifetime of the panel. Vacancies may be Permanent, Temporary, Specified Purpose Contract (SPC), Fixed-Term, Full-Time or Part-Time in nature.

The role of a Staff Nurse is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the relevant care setting. They provide complete, person centered care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for people supported by the service. They assist in all aspects of the practical tasks associated with the daily life of the person supported. Corlann promotes interdisciplinary working so there is the opportunity to work closely with professional colleagues to provide a range of specialist care services.

Details

Location: Parkside Services, Ferrybank, Waterford.

Salary: €38,166–€58,424 per year.
