About the Role

Staff Grade Occupational Therapist in Balbriggan, Dublin. Full-time, permanent position. The Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) is a voluntary organisation and national charity working with children and adults with disabilities. The CRC provides general disability services along with and in partnership with the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the wider disability sector, and also provides highly specialist national services not replicated elsewhere in the sector.

The CRC Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) will be providing intervention to children from the age of 0-18 years, presenting with complex developmental needs requiring inter-disciplinary intervention. Our services are based upon a Family Centered Practice Model in line with the Progressing Disability Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of one of our dynamic teams.

Requirements

Essential requirements:

• A recognised Occupational Therapist qualification and be registered or be eligible for registration as an Occupational Therapist by CORU
• Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills
• Flexibility and teamwork skills are key to this role
• A full driving licence and access to own car – Candidates that do not currently have this requirement are encouraged to apply. However, this may still be a criterion to reject candidates who do not currently have this in place. Should candidates progress without this criterion, there is a mandatory requirement to obtain a driving licence, which will be explained at the interview stage.

Desirable requirements:

• Experience working with children with intellectual disabilities
• Experience working with children with physical disabilities
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Experience completing Assessment of Need
