Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist on the Childrens Disability Team in Dublin, Ireland. Full-time, permanent. €45,063 - 64,424. Fluent English. Closing date: October 4, 2026 12:15 PM.

Established in 1951, the Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) is a voluntary organisation and national charity working with children and adults with disabilities. The voluntary sector provides 75% of the disability services in Ireland and, alongside a number of voluntary organisations and the Health Service Executive (HSE), the CRC works to provide a variety of services to children and adults with disabilities. We provide general disability services along with and in partnership with the HSE and the wider disability sector, and we also provide highly specialist national services not replicated elsewhere in the sector. Our children’s services have two main divisions:

• Regional general disability services in Dublin City and County that reconfigured and grew to five new teams under the new model of care in September 2021; and
• National specialist multidisciplinary services providing expertise to children with physical disabilities from every county in Ireland.

Our children’s disability network teams (CDNTs) work with parents and families to make a positive difference despite the challenges that can come with disabilities. We offer specific medical and clinical services for children, young people and adults with disabilities through the life cycle from birth to adulthood. Our national specialist services team provides innovative medical and surgical interventions,  therapeutic and assistive technology services to children and adults with complex disabilities and rare conditions. We use innovative medical and surgical interventions and evidence-based therapies to support children and adults to achieve their maximum potential.

We currently have vacancies on our CRC Children’s Disability Network Teams, CDNT Clondalkin. The CRC Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) provide intervention to children from the age of 0-18 years, presenting with complex developmental needs requiring inter-disciplinary intervention. Our services are based upon a Family Centered Practice Model in line with the Progressing Disability Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of one of our dynamic teams.

During 2024 the CRC has embarked on a programme of organistional transformation. Requirements

Excellent communications and teamworking skills. CORU registered or eligible for CORU registration. A recognised speech & language qualification. A full driving license and access to own car. Candidates that do not currently have this requirement are encouraged to apply. However, this may still be a criterion to reject candidates who do not currently have this in place. Should candidates progress without his criterion, there is a mandatory requirement to obtain a driving licence, which will be explained at the interview stage.

Details

Full time, Permanent – 35 hours per week and Part-time roles. The successful candidate will have the following essential requirements: Possess a recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification and be registered or be eligible for registration as a Speech and Language Therapist by CORU. Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills. Flexibility and teamwork skills which are key to this role. Desirable requirements: Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Experience working with children with physical disabilities. Experience working with children with intellectual disabilities. Experience completing Assessment of Need. An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in dysphagia and at least 6 months experience working in this area. It must be clearly demonstrated in your CV and supporting statement how you meet the required skills, competencies and knowledge for the post.
