About the Role
Wexford General Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate Staff Midwives to join its rolling recruitment campaign in Wexford. This permanent whole-time opportunity offers midwives the chance to work within a busy acute hospital environment delivering high-quality maternity care across a wide range of clinical settings.
This Staff Midwife job in Wexford is ideal for qualified midwives who are passionate about supporting women and families throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and postnatal care. Successful candidates will become part of a professional multidisciplinary team committed to patient-centred maternity services within HSE Dublin and South East.
Requirements
- Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible for registration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred maternity care.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and professional accountability.
- Previous acute hospital experience is desirable.

Salary & Benefits
Salary will be aligned with HSE Staff Midwife pay scales and public sector terms and conditions. This is a Permanent Whole-Time position offering long-term career progression opportunities, professional development support, annual leave entitlements, and access to public service pension benefits.
Working hours will be roster-based in accordance with hospital operational requirements and maternity service needs.
